Meetings:  Nominally at 11 am to 2 pm on Friday in EB 124.
Office Hours:  Tu,   Th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and by appointment
Text:  “Mobile Robots: Inspiration to Implementation”, Jones, Flynn, Seiger, 2nd edition.

Grading:  Grading is based on the amount of work done, research conducted,
                   documentation delivered and enthusiasm shown.

70 %     1.  Work – The class requires an average of approximately 10 hours a                               week, including class time.  There are no homework problems assigned or exams to take so the time is to be spent on design, construction and testing of the team project.

10%     2.  Research – In order to complete the project it is necessary to research parts available from various suppliers, acquire data sheets, and investigate construction and navigation techniques.

10%    3.  Documentation – Keep engineering notebooks on your activities, including designs, construction details, circuit diagrams, and programs used and written.

10%     4.  Enthusiasm – Enthusiasm can be demonstrated by the willingness to help others, taking initiative to solve problems, and team spirit. 

The role of the class instructor is to provide advice on request, to monitor budget and schedule, and to coordinate overall class activity.
